With the Leaf Chair, Sunon was looking to create a mid to high-end office chair. In order to break into this new market, the Leaf Chair needed to translate it's functionality into a timeless ergonomic & recognisable design. With such a bold product, Sunon had the opportunity to extend its brand into new territories. The backrest acts as a second skin in order to reduce the visual weight of the chair as well as the comfort for a longer use. The shell reacts to the body movements using the torsion of the plastic material. The perforation varies to make the material more loose or rigid on strategic areas. It creates a relationship between the product and the user.
